We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Nursing Assistant to join our Health Visiting Team at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative and clinical support to our Health Visitors and other healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Health Visiting Team, including answering phone calls, booking appointments, and liaising with other services.
- Accompany Health Visitors on home visits and assist with developmental reviews, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families.
- Provide an accessible, efficient, and user-friendly service at all times, including setting up and clearing up for child health clinics and carrying out duties during these sessions.
- Have an understanding of child protection and safeguarding of vulnerable children and young people, and document and report any issues of concern to the Health Visitor.
- Order and ensure the safe storage of vaccines, as well as other relevant stationery and equipment required by the team.
- Monitor the safety and maintenance of equipment used in clinical areas, including weighing scales and length/height measuring equipment.
- Assist with setting up and facilitating group work for children and parents, and supervising children during health promotion sessions as required.
