Training Catering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Training Catering Manager to join our client's team within a prison environment. As a key member of the facilities management team, you will play a crucial role in delivering food and food safety training to prisoners working in catering areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive food safety and allergen training programs for prisoners.
  • Maintain up-to-date induction processes and training matrices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide hands-on training and coaching to prisoners in food preparation, kitchen equipment operation, and health and hygiene practices.
  • Assist in food preparation as needed and conduct regular safety checks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate training administration, including learner enrollment for NVQs and maintaining a registration tracker.
  • Meet monthly KPIs by providing training statistics and identifying further training needs for prisoners and staff.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of food safety principles and experience working in a kitchen environment.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification required.
  • Proven experience in training and developing individuals, with a patient and resilient communication style.
  • Qualifications: PTTLS & TAQA are essential.
  • Ability to deliver training in Food Safety, Manual Handling, and NVQs.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary of £33,393.
  • Permanent role, 40 hours per week, 5 over 7 contract.
  • Predominantly Monday to Friday schedule.
