Job Title: Market Reporter – Biofuels Analyst

Are you an exceptional writer with a passion for the energy sector? We're seeking a talented Market Reporter to join our editorial team at Argus Media, a leading independent provider of market intelligence to the global energy and commodity markets.

About the Role:

As a Market Reporter, you will be responsible for covering specific commodity markets, reporting on deals, price movements, and market news. Your expertise will be applied across daily news reporting, market analysis, features, and editorials in a fast-paced environment with the highest standards of journalistic independence and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess markets to produce daily price assessments, market commentaries, news, and reports.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key market participants, including biofuels producers, traders, brokers, and governmental bodies.
  • Contribute high-quality content to daily and periodical publications, as well as our online news service.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to build contacts, report on news, and represent Argus Media externally.

Requirements:

  • A graduate with a strong degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to develop, source, and write industry-relevant news to deadline.
  • Excellent written, grammatical, and numeracy skills, as well as the ability to write engaging content.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to network and build contacts with industry executives.
