Job Title: Auto Electrician

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team at Jade Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will have a mechanical interest and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose electrical issues within vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Modify electrical harnesses and conduct auto electrical tasks on modern specialist vehicles.
• Wiring up of electrical components and installations of wiring looms.
• Examine vehicles and diagnose non-routine defects or additional faults in the workshop or during road tests.
• Ability to use related tools to a good standard.
• Conducting fault finding and diagnostic work, when necessary, on all vehicles.
• Install new interior electrical systems, including GPS, camera systems, etc.
• Install high voltage batteries into our Electric Sweepers.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.
• Utilize the Company's facilities and processes to maximize productivity on vehicles.
• Ensure all correct paperwork is completed and accurate records maintained.
• Ensure that all the equipment provided by the Company is kept in good condition and in full working order.
• Work on a flow line when required.
• Contribute to maintaining a high level of housekeeping and attention to health and safety issues to create a healthy and safe working environment. This includes ensuring that personal belongings and work-related tools and materials are kept in the designated areas.
• Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the company.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Effective Communication
• Able to read and understand electrical circuit drawings
• Previous auto electrical experience on HGV
• Motivated/Driven
• Able to effectively absorb knowledge
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Can-Do attitude

Desirable:

• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical circuits
• Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or similar
• Clean driving licence/LGV
• Professional appearance and presentation
