Maintenance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance work to the highest standards, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements, to ensure the hotel's facilities are in good working order.
  • Respond promptly to guest enquiries and resolve any maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with the hotel's management team to identify and implement energy conservation initiatives.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to COSHH regulations and proper storage of hazardous substances.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role is essential.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work varied shift patterns, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
