About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Leader Recruitment Group. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote and support the young people in our care, leading a life of positive development.
  • Ensure day-to-day management is facilitated in a professional and competent manner, supporting the Service Manager in providing the best quality care.
  • Lead a team of professionals to provide therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child.
  • Record events and observations, progress reports, preparing and implementing care plans and records.
  • Act as a positive role model to colleagues and children, meeting their everyday living needs and developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth, and lasting change.

Requirements:

  • Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience and a Level 3 qualification in residential childcare.
  • Great communication skills, naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
  • Highly energetic, calm under pressure, and able to manage sometimes challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins in caring for the children.
