Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Sunderland

We are working closely with a specialist provision in Sunderland to find a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time, long-term basis from September 2024.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering lessons and working closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will be required to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 8:30 to 3:30.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons and support students in their learning
  • Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good behavior management skills
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEND)
  • Experience working in small groups and delivering work
