About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Elderly Care, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of our Care of the Elderly service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide expert clinical opinion and guidance to medical colleagues across the trust, ensuring consistency and excellence in patient care.
  • Liaise with medical staff from other specialties to participate in regular clinical meetings and post-graduate activities, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, working closely with our frailty and geriatric service teams.
Requirements
  • MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems, with a strong background in Acute and General Medicine
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • MD/PhD
  • Possession of ALS
  • Special interest in areas such as Acute Frailty, Ortho-Geriatrics, Parkinson's Disease, and Community Care of the Elderly
