About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our busy and established Civil & Structural Engineering team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing civil engineering projects from feasibility through to design, tender, and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Advise clients on engineering projects, including power, general infrastructure, and waste management facilities.
  • Manage and provide assistance on a diverse range of engineering projects, across sectors including power, infrastructure, and built environment.
  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Assist more senior team members in seeking opportunities through coordinated business development to expand the civil & structural engineering services and capabilities.

Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working in a comparable role on civil engineering projects, preferably within consultancy.
  • Good knowledge of relevant UK legislation and standards associated with Civil & Structural Engineering.
  • Working engineering design knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel, earthworks, drainage, and external works design.
  • Programme management and engineering contracts (NEC3/4, FIDIC) experience.
  • A full driving licence valid in the UK.
