Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Community Nursery Nurse to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience of working in early years settings or the health service, who is skilled in communicating with professionals and clients from diverse backgrounds.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of public health care and health promotion programs in accordance with The Healthy Child Programme.
  • Undertake activities delegated by the Health Visitor, in support of the 0-19 service.
  • Contribute to service development and health improvement activities.
  • Advise parents/carers on positive parenting skills, including understanding and managing child behavior, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management, and toilet training.
  • Act as the link 0-19 professional for identified PVIs, working collaboratively with Children's Centres, nurseries, parents, and other agencies.
  • Identify concerns and take appropriate action in accordance with safeguarding guidelines.

Requirements
  • BTEC Diploma in Child Care or NVQ in Child Care level 3 or equivalent.

  • Ability to assess situations, identify risks, and act appropriately.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children, normal child development, and parenting skills.
