About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Planning Specialist to join our dynamic finance team.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare timely, accurate, and high-quality financial reports, providing critical insights and supporting a range of stakeholders including the Board.


  • Oversee the company balance sheet, supporting ledgers, and accounting records. Prepare and maintain a detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliation pack.


  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors to support the statutory audit process.


  • Prepare VAT and other tax returns ensuring compliance and accuracy.


  • Maintain the integrity of financial controls by identifying areas for improvement and proposing effective solutions.


  • Support forecasting and business planning activities, providing valuable insights and analysis.


  • Assist in improving working capital and cash management practices.


  • Undertake various ad hoc projects, including data analysis and financial modeling.




Requirements:



  • Proven experience in a financial management position.


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.


  • Proficiency in financial reporting, balance sheet management, and statutory accounts preparation.


  • Experience with VAT and other tax return preparation.


  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues.


  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
