Aircraft Maintenance Role Overview
Leonardo is seeking a skilled B2 Engineer to join our Civil Flight team, based on-site at our Yeovil base. As a B2 Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a range of civil aircraft, in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and European Aviation Safety Regulations (EASA).
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and ensure it is completed on time, in accordance with approved schedules.
- Perform hourly and calendar-based scheduled maintenance, adhering to approved maintenance programs and OEM aircraft data.
- Conduct unscheduled maintenance, following OEM aircraft data.
- Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft defects, in accordance with approved aircraft data.
- Inspect, remove, and install avionic aircraft systems.
- Supervise civil flight technicians when required.
- Mentor civil flight trainee certifying engineers.
- Work at offsite locations in support of aircraft on ground (AOG).
- Investigate and understand human factors and the potential effects of human error, safety management system, and raise Voluntary Occurrence Reports when necessary.
Requirements
- A minimum of an aeronautical apprenticeship or service equivalent trade training.
- A type-rated CAA-issued Part 66 maintenance license in category B2.
- Previous experience working with the AW139 or AW189 aircraft.
- Extensive experience within a helicopter maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, serial numbers, breakdown procedures, work instructions, service bulletins, technical logs, manufacturer's maintenance data, and maintenance programs.
- A strong understanding of CAA and EASA regulations.
- Conversance with CAA CAP publications.
- Flexibility to travel, at short notice, to various locations nationally and internationally.
Security Clearance
