Job Title: Engineering Tooling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Tooling Specialist to join our client, a market leader in their field of engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review mould tooling and jigging requirements for new works orders
  • Design, procure, and expedite the manufacture of mould tools and associated equipment
  • Maintain and update existing tooling records and databases
  • Ensure safe methods of work when designing and manufacturing tooling
  • Provide an effective tooling service to the operations department

Requirements:

  • Design production tooling from component drawings
  • Be proficient in 3D CAD modelling software
  • Produce fully engineered drawings to BS8888
  • Effectively deal with tooling manufacturers
  • Understand machining and fabrication manufacturing methods

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Fully trained and qualified in a 3D CAD modelling package (AutoDesk Inventor preferred)
