About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Store Operations Manager at River Island. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring the smooth operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of sales advisors to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives and drive results.
  • Customer Focus
    • Develop and implement customer-focused initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Work with the management team to identify and address customer complaints and concerns.
    • Monitor and analyze customer feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure that all store operations are running smoothly and efficiently, including cash handling, customer service, and store maintenance.
    • Collaborate with the management team to identify and address operational issues and implement solutions.
  • Performance Management
    • Develop and implement performance management processes to ensure that sales advisors are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to sales advisors.
    • Identify and address performance gaps and develop plans to improve performance.
    Requirements
    • Experience
      • Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
      • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency.
    • Skills
      • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
      • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
      • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues.
    • Education
      • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, retail, or a related field preferred.
