Bodyshop Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead our team and drive the success of our accident repair centre in Newcastle. As a Bodyshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of experts, including Paint Sprayers, Panel Beaters, MET Technicians, Estimators, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop your team to ensure the site's success through passionate leadership and informed decision-making.
  • Manage the on-site team, including Health and Safety, Performance Management, Financials, and Customer Service.
  • Set targets and ensure Key to Key and CSI targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide strong leadership to direct reports and all site employees to drive performance and achieve or exceed financial and operational targets.
  • Effectively manage site resources and costs to optimise capability and profitability.
  • Monitor individual productive performance to minimise non-productive time.
  • Establish, maintain, and promote good working relations with key personnel.
  • Deal with customer issues.
Requirements:
  • Technical knowledge and experience of the Accident Repair and Bodyshop industry.
  • Previous experience within a management position with the ability to lead and coach the team.
  • Ability to organise office administration, control systems, and financial resources.
  • Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle design and manufacture, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry, and best practice.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the provisions of E.P.A. and C.O.S.H.H.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BSI Standards and accreditation.
