About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bodyshop Manager to lead our Steer Commercial Coventry bodyshop to new heights of efficiency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all bodyshop activities, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality repairs, in accordance with industry and manufacturer standards.
- Supervise and lead a team of skilled technicians, including paint sprayers, panel beaters, MET technicians, estimators, and administrative staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Understand the business needs, including accounts, reporting, and KPIs.
- Manage site resources and costs to maximise capability and profitability.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, suppliers, and customers to facilitate smooth repair processes.
- Monitor and control budgets, costs, and expenditures to meet financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, repair techniques, and best practices.
- Conduct site recruitment and ensure timely interviews to fill vacancies.
About You
We are looking for an exceptional and dynamic candidate with prior experience as a successful Bodyshop Site Manager, who can support and motivate the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly site targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager within the automotive repair industry, with a knowledge and understanding of commercial vehicle repair.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of auto body repair techniques and industry standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and plan workload efficiently.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Work skilfully and safely under pressure to ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to.
- Lead, manage, and support the team, working on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Be flexible in your approach, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction are always kept in mind.
- Proficiency in using bodyshop management software and other relevant tools.
