Job Description

Catch22 College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our students in achieving their academic goals. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students, including homework help and study skills guidance
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, including preparing materials and resources
  • Support students with special educational needs, including those with English as an Additional Language
  • Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Knowledge of the statutory requirements of health and safety, SEN, and child safeguarding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs
