Job Description

Childcare Apprentice - Level 3 Role at The Muddy Boots Project

Aspire Training Team is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Muddy Boots Project, a forest childcare provider that prioritizes children's wellbeing through daily outdoor activities.

The setting is home-based, allowing for close collaboration with parents to ensure each child's needs and preferences are met. A wide range of educational toys and activities are provided, promoting healthy eating and offering hot and cold meals.

Your Responsibilities as an Apprentice

  • Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring activities are developmentally appropriate and inclusive.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, sharing information about children's development and well-being.
  • Observe and assess children's development, documenting observations and contributing to individual learning plans.
  • Support children's personal care needs.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming setting.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and deliver engaging learning activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Attend staff meetings.

Working Hours

  • The Muddy Boots Project is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • You should have GCSE Grades A*-C/4-9 in English Language and maths, or equivalent.
  • A Level 2 Childcare Qualification is desired.
