Junior Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Laboratory Technician to join our team at Dekra Process & Safety in Hampshire.

About the Role:

As a Junior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting testing and analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct testing and analysis in line with SOPs and GLP standards
  2. Maintain laboratory files and archives
  3. Report results to clients
  4. Ensure the laboratory is maintained in a clean and safe condition
  5. Perform equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records
  6. Train other staff to conduct testing when competent to do so

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. GCSE Grade C (Grade 4) or above in Maths, English, and Science
  2. Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  3. Previous laboratory experience is desirable
  4. A methodical approach to tasks and attention to detail
  5. A strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Able to follow SOPs and GLP standards
  7. Own transport
