Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insolvency Solicitor to join our team as a Partner. As a key member of our insolvency practice, you will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse caseload of insolvency matters, with a strong emphasis on contentious insolvency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse caseload of insolvency matters, with a strong emphasis on contentious insolvency.
- Advise clients, including insolvency practitioners, creditors, and companies, on all aspects of insolvency law.
- Handle complex insolvency litigation, including misfeasance claims, director disqualification proceedings, asset recovery, and contentious winding-up petitions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering commercially astute legal advice.
- Play an active role in business development, marketing the firm's insolvency services, and expanding the client base.
- Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and support staff, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to offer a seamless service to clients across multiple legal disciplines.
Requirements:
- A qualified Solicitor with 8-10 years PQE in insolvency law, with a proven track record in contentious insolvency matters.
- Extensive experience in handling complex litigation and advisory work in the insolvency field.
- Excellent technical knowledge and a strong understanding of insolvency legislation and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships, with a commercial mindset and strong negotiation skills.
- A strategic thinker with leadership qualities and a proactive approach to business development.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
- A team player who can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
