Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable school in Leighton Buzzard. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver activities that cater to the needs of SEMH students.
  • Develop a holistic approach to meeting the needs of SEMH students, working closely with teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy Care programs for designated students.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN or a willingness to develop skills in this area.
  • Good knowledge of SEN and a passion to develop.
  • Able to manage challenging behavior.
  • Able to commit to working fixed days, full or part-time.
  • Clear and valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant training to support students with learning difficulties.
