Job Summary

Become a vital part of our team as an Engineering Safety Lead - Combat Systems at BAE Systems. In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will lead the development, delivery, and maintenance of the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case.

This position requires exceptional skills in engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case reporting. Your primary responsibility will be to support the derivation and management of Product Safety requirements derived from Product Safety hazard and risk identification.

About the Job
  1. You will collaborate with the Engineering Delivery Manager to implement Project Safety Management Plans.
  2. You will influence the development of a safe design by creating logical technical safety arguments and Safety Case justification reports.
  3. You will work on hazard identification meetings and the maintenance of the project hazard log.
Requirements
  • You must have a solid understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case reporting.
  • You should be able to apply ALARP principles effectively.
  • You need to be proficient in systems engineering tools and techniques.
  • You should have experience working in defence or complex systems environments.
