Job Summary

This is a key leadership role within the unscheduled care management team at Withybush Hospital. As a Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating emergency and non-elective clinical service provision and medical specialties across the designated site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Hospital General Manager and hospital triumvirate management team in delivering unscheduled care services and Stroke and Care of the Elderly specialties.
  • Co-ordinate emergency and non-elective clinical service provision and medical specialties across the designated site.
  • Lead and work with colleagues at many levels through a service improvement journey, bringing a degree of credibility to the planning ambitions of the teams.
  • Hold delegated responsibility for a delegated budget for unscheduled care and deliver a balanced budget at year end or alternatively agreed position.
  • Participate in a silver On-Call rota for the organisation and deputise for the Hospital General Manager where required.
Key Requirements
  • A higher degree at Master's level or equivalent experience at senior management level.
  • Evidence of continuous management and personal development.
  • Knowledge of NHS, WG and Health Board strategies, policies and plans including HR policies.
  • Current knowledge of best practice gained through personal research.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic healthcare agenda relating to service delivery.
