We are seeking a dedicated and innovative professional to join our Highways Operations Team as a Programmed Works Officer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality project management, surveying, designing, contract preparation, and site supervision services for highway, bridges, structural, drainage, and other civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage construction schemes from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within defined budgets and timescales.
- Participate in the winter service, providing essential support to maintain highway infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Highways Operations Team to develop and implement effective project management strategies.
- Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise site operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management, surveying, designing, and contract preparation.
- Strong knowledge of highway, bridges, structural, drainage, and civil engineering works.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
