As a Commercial Underwriter, you will have the chance to work on a wide variety of Social Welfare, Care, Not For Profit, and Charity policies. Your duties will include underwriting renewal cases, collaborating with the Claims team, and developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in underwriting, encompassing Property (Commercial or Domestic) and/or Liability. While experience in Social Welfare/Care insurance is not essential, it would be advantageous. Full training will be provided, so we encourage applications from Insurance Brokers looking to transition into an underwriting role.
You must be well-organized, efficient, and engaging when dealing with brokers over the telephone. A hybrid-working arrangement allows you to work 2 days from home, while the office environment is friendly, supportive, and collaborative, with many sports and social events available.
We offer a generous basic salary (£40,000 - £50,000), plus a lucrative 25% bonus scheme and impressive corporate benefits, including substantial pension contributions and financial bonuses for passing CII qualifications.
