Job Opportunity:

TPF Recruitment is assisting a well-established and reputable firm of chartered accountants in their search for a VAT Director to strengthen their indirect tax team in Kent and the Southeast. This advisory-focused position will oversee compliance functions, working with a diverse range of clients across the South-East. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the VAT team on all areas of VAT advice
  • Conduct technical research and keep the wider tax team informed of developments
  • Draft reports and letters of advice for various clients and industries
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings
  • Develop business opportunities and market areas of interest
  • Manage and develop members of the VAT team

Advisory Exposure:
  • Lead topical advisory matters for clients across the practice
  • Advise businesses on VAT-efficient structuring of their affairs
  • Provide VAT considerations for international trade
  • Implement partial exemption special schemes
  • Offer ad-hoc advice on various VAT matters for the firm's diverse client base

Requirements:VAT Director in Maidstone:
  • Significant experience providing VAT advice, working within a practice environment, in-house, or at HMRC
  • Broad exposure to most areas of UK VAT, with a working knowledge of EU VAT requirements as they apply to UK businesses
  • ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent, or qualified by experience

  • Highly competitive salary dependent on experience and background, negotiable- circa £90,000- £100,000 per annum

Requirements:
VAT Director in Maidstone: You will have significant experience providing VAT advice, working within a practice environment, in-house, or at HMRC.
