Pricing Director Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pricing Director to join our team at PIB Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing our pricing function, providing pricing support, and offering expert advice to senior management.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Leeds/UK Q. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the pricing function and managing the deployment and maintenance of pricing software
  • Providing pricing insights and expert advice to senior management on a regular basis
  • Overseeing pricing performance through underwriting committees and quarterly ultimate loss ratios
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including insurers, reinsurers, captives, and external partners
  • Developing an inclusive pricing team and advocating for success within the company
  • Captive and alternative capacity solutions - supporting the development of captive insurance companies, financial projections, coverage design, experience monitoring, and profitability analysis
  • Risk Pricing and Trading Corridor alignment - working with the CUO and Portfolio directors to ensure price strength aligns with targets within a 3-year period, including implementation of new business/renewals price strength across the Q product suite
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Significant experience in property and casualty specialty lines insurance
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing insurance products, including the development and implementation of new pricing strategies
  • Previous leadership experience, managing teams of actuaries or analysts
  • Project management skills, with experience managing large, complex projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and high personal integrity
  • Insurance/Actuarial qualification or qualified by experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary reflecting the importance of this role within the company.
