We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Tramper, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.
  • Deliver loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage our customers' expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

  • Basic salary for Class 1 Tramper is £39,361pa.

  • Hours of work are Monday – Friday, start time between 06:00hrs and 07:00hrs.
