About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food Production Manager to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our in-store leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the entire food production operation in one of our busiest stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage people and processes across bakery, pizza, and hot food production
- Deal with day-to-day pressures and plan ahead for the next couple of weeks
- Ensure the delivery of a range of food products that meet our quality standards
- Agree shift patterns, allocate tasks, and areas of focus
- Be a visible leader for great service, coaching and motivating your team to work together productively
- Solve performance issues, giving honest feedback, supporting people through change, and setting expectations

The Sainsbury's in-store management structure is designed to help people like you progress and develop their careers. When joining us, you will receive a clear induction and orientation alongside a training plan specific to your needs that you'll build alongside your manager. They will support and coach you to deliver great performance, while having plenty of time to develop.
As a Food Production Manager, you could move into a Lead Manager role in Food, In-store Customer Experience, Clothing, or General Merchandise. Looking further ahead, it's great preparation for a Store Management role or a leadership challenge across the Sainsbury's family: Habitat, Tu, Argos, Sainsbury's Bank, and Nectar 360.
