Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.

About the Role

The Senior Healthcare Support Worker will be responsible for providing hands-on care, assistance, and emotional support to patients and their relatives. This will include performing phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care, assisting clinicians with endoscopic procedures, and maintaining high standards of documentation and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing clerical support and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting clinicians with endoscopic procedures and maintaining equipment
  • Performing phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care
  • Providing emotional support to patients and their relatives
  • Maintaining high standards of documentation and record keeping
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Good general education and literacy and numeracy skills
  • Working towards or prepared to work towards obtaining an apprenticeship in clinical healthcare
  • Holds National Care Certificate
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting and caring for patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
