Job Description:

Venn Group is recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Highways Development Coordinator to work with our client, a local authority in the Southwest.

About the Role:

This role involves acting as the lead supporting officer to the Highway Legal Agreements Team Leader and deputising as required. It also involves comprehensively managing third-party developer's applications and legal agreements under Section 184, 278, and 38 of the Highway Act 1980.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead supporting officer to the Highway Legal Agreements Team Leader
  • Manage third-party developer's applications and legal agreements
  • Provide professional advice and guidance on Transport Development design, construction works, and associated legal agreements
  • Issue Advanced Payment Code (APC) notices under Section 220 of the Highways Act 1980

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in public or private organisations dealing with highways development management issues and legislation
  • Experience of S278, 38, 106 Agreements, and HDM experience required
  • Experience of external liaison with specialist engineering consultants
  • Solid understanding of highway engineering and design standards

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
