Job Summary
">Mane Contract Services is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter Specialist to join our team in Cambridge. As a Mechanical Fitter Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling and building projects using engineering drawings and design data.

">This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals who want to contribute to high-quality builds and project delivery. The successful candidate will have experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or joining, preferably in automotive or heavy industry.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Assemble and build projects using engineering drawings and design data.
- Support production managers in meeting deadlines and maintaining budget requirements.
- Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S processes.
- Ensure all equipment and tooling needs are identified and reported.
Requirements
">The ideal candidate will have:
">- Experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or joining, preferably in automotive or heavy industry.
- Skilled in drilling aluminium components and installing blind rivets with pneumatic tools.
- Completion of an apprenticeship (City & Guilds or equivalent) in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, or Manufacturing and Assembly.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical designs.
- Knowledge of workshop processes, production methods, and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive team-oriented approach.
