Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in a supportive Primary School?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely Primary School in Tameside, starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long-term role for the full academic year, with the opportunity to go permanent upon review. The position will be on a daily rate of £85 to £95, dependent on experience.

The School:

The Primary School is a for children aged between 2 to 11 years old, with a few children requiring additional support due to Autism, Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Complex Medical Needs.

The school is part of a 2-school federation within the borough, providing outstanding education and a learning environment that delivers inclusive learning to meet the needs of all pupils. The school features sensory rooms, soft play rooms, a large hall, a studio for physical activities, outdoor play areas, a sensory garden, and a small hydrotherapy pool. The school is easily accessible by public transport, with the closest tram being a 5-minute walk. On-site parking is also available.

The Position:

You will be supporting a KS1 class in Year 2, working alongside the Class Teacher and experienced Teaching Assistants. The needs of the students include Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties, with minimal behavioural difficulties. You will be required to support various students within the class on a 1-1 basis, aiding their development academically and socially. You will be involved in planning sessions and leading your own individually within the class.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

Have previous experience working within SEN

Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks

Ensure your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history, where possible

Hold a legal right to work in the UK
