Roc Search is seeking a highly skilled Unreal Engine Senior Developer to collaborate with our Design Agency client, renowned for their innovative immersive projects. This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead prestigious initiatives on a global scale. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to overseeing all technical facets of production, from creative input to final delivery.

As a key member of the digital team, you will take ownership of flagship projects, ensuring effective coordination among creative leads, 3D artists, and the broader development team. The technical responsibilities will demand meticulous planning, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence in execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project tasks and take charge of real-time projects as needed.
  • Implement technical solutions for custom interactive applications.
  • Maintain and enhance existing systems.
  • Provide technical solutions for bespoke applications in interactive experiential projects, ensuring ongoing support as required.
  • Coordinate with external teams and freelancers.
  • Stay updated with the latest digital and real-time standards to enhance the digital offerings and user experience.
  • Develop interactive software for a variety of new exhibits, including digital twins, VR, AR, and touchscreen interactives.
  • Continuously improve workflows to support current and future media creation.
  • Share knowledge and apply it to projects, collaborating with designers, producers, content developers, and fellow developers to ensure project success.
  • Assist in the maintenance of production tools (such as Perforce, GitLab, AWS, etc.).

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Proven senior experience (10+ years) with Unreal Engine.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects and coordinating between teams.
  • Expertise in Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency in Blueprint.
  • Basic knowledge of C++.
  • In-depth understanding of 3D optimization processes.
  • Ability to adapt and excel in new technical environments.
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Familiarity with one or more DCC tools: 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Rhino, etc.
  • Experience with API integration.
  • Knowledge of code versioning systems (Perforce, Plastic, Git, etc.).
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of gaming UX principles.
  • Experience with Houdini.
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with USD.
  • Experience with Omniverse.
  • Understanding of Jenkins.
  • Advanced skills in C++.
