Job Title: Assistant Chief Engineer

COMO Metropolitan London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing procedures to ensure efficient and proactive engineering department operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide effective maintenance support and advice.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Participate in the Fire Team and respond to all alarm activations and alerts.
  • Conduct and monitor safety and security risk assessments to ensure compliance with statutory health and safety codes.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and work orders, considering budget constraints and resource planning.
  • Ensure all contracts are maintained and works executed to the correct standard and frequency.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial engineering role within a luxury hotel setting.
  • Conversant with fire and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy efficiency strategies in facilities management.
  • Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
