Job Role:

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Plumber to join our team at HMP Bure, a Category C & Adult male prison.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of the prison's facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues to maintain and repair commercial and industrial heating and water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Contribute to a safe and secure environment for prisoners, employees, and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
