About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Mentor to provide cross-college support to teaching staff and students with a wide range of additional support needs. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students to prepare and submit their work, including written communication and IT-based tasks within the boundaries set by examining bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, promoting independence and confidence in their academic pursuits.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective support strategies, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
  • Assist students with written communication and IT-based tasks, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting equality of opportunity and celebrating diversity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in an educational or training setting with students/young people (14+) who have support needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a minimum of Level 2 standard in English and Maths.
  • A commitment to promoting equality of opportunity and creating a supportive learning environment.
