Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roadworker to join our Highway Team in the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of projects from planer patching, drainage works, and footway repairs, together with general highway construction and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of Roadworkers to ensure high standards of work are delivered to all highway users.
  • Plan and coordinate projects to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Construction Health and Safety legislation in relation to highways works.
  • Hold a valid NRSWA Operative certificate and a full clean driving licence, preferably with Category C1 entitlement.

Working Arrangements

The vacancy is based at the Beverley depot and the successful candidate will work a standard 37-hour week Monday to Friday with additional overtime worked on a planned basis as are voluntary standby rotas.
