About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to apply their technical knowledge of construction materials to support the Manager of our Construction Materials Department.

The Role

The Construction Materials Department at Sandberg undertakes a range of mechanical and physical testing on construction materials, including concretes, aggregates, renders, mortars, stone, brick, screeds, and flooring materials. This includes testing both on-site and in the lab, as well as taking samples for later testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from inception to invoicing.
  • Conduct testing and inspections of construction materials.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, including testing and inspection.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
  • Strong understanding of defects and deterioration mechanisms within concrete construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
