Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Part-time Payroll Assistant to join our team in North Ayrshire. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for administering payroll, processing payrolls, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Administer payroll from start to end, guaranteeing timely and accurate payment to employees.
  2. Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Process and submit weekly payrolls, statutory year-end returns, and P60s, and process pension submissions to the company pension scheme.
  4. Maintain and update payroll processes to comply with PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SPP, Pension Schemes, and CIS Returns.
  5. Manage employee holiday records on payroll systems and proactively support various projects.
  6. Action required changes and updates to Employee Tax Coding as per instruction from HMRC.
  7. Ensure strong MS Outlook, Excel, and Word skills are applied throughout the role.
Requirements:
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with ability to multitask.
  • Practical payroll experience and ability to explain PAYE and calculations.
Benefits:

This is a part-time role working 3 days a week. The salary range is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (pro-rata). We offer a competitive salary and opportunities for career growth and development.
