Job Description

Programme Manager

£65,000 - £75,000 DOE

Overview of the Role

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of full vehicle projects
  • Lead and mentor a team of project engineers to ensure project delivery
  • Support marketing and sales to explore new opportunities and construct budgets for aftermarket products
  • Ensure purchase order coverage for projects and negotiate budgets
  • Monitor and control project timing and delivery according to quoted deliverables and gateway requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage company policies and ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and welfare policies
  • Oversee the delivery of full vehicle projects supported by a multi-disciplined engineering team
  • Lead and mentor a team of project engineers to ensure delivery of projects within their control
  • Support marketing and sales to explore new opportunities and construct budgets for aftermarket products
  • Ensure purchase order coverage for projects and negotiate budgets
  • Monitor and control project timing and delivery according to quoted deliverables and gateway requirements
  • Liaise with core engineering management to set expectations and review objectives
  • Report project team performance in weekly and monthly governance reviews
  • Demonstrate leadership within project teams through strong communication and governance
  • Interface with customers to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and delivered
  • Provide daily motivation and a positive outlook for team members
  • Ensure team upholds company quality accreditation and systems
  • Uphold company core values

Measurements

The Programme Manager will be measured against the following KPIs:

  • Project delivery timing
  • Project delivery cost vs. profitability
  • Company NPI and metrics (project gateway, issues management, DVP completion, CAD completion, release management, etc.)

Essential Skills

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
  • Relevant and proven experience of successfully delivering a full vehicle programme through to launch
  • Significant project management experience and use of project management systems
  • Ability to interface with senior stakeholders, customers, and suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible attitude and ability to manage one's own time and prioritise workload
  • Full driving licence as travel will be required
  • Confident approach to team interaction
  • Show leadership and directional skills within own subject area
  • Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK
