About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Biomedical Research Scientist to join our interdisciplinary team focused on advancing Organ-on-a-Chip technology for disease modelling. This role involves designing, optimising, and validating microphysiological systems that replicate human organ functions, helping to study disease mechanisms, drug responses, and tissue interactions.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing reliable in-vitro disease modelling platforms
  • Generating experimental data and integrating findings across disciplines
  • Rifining models to accurately mimic disease conditions

In collaboration with experts in biology, engineering, and materials science, you will work towards contributing to the development of personalised medicine. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment will be essential in this role.

You will also have opportunities to present research at conferences, publish in top journals, and contribute to grant proposals. With a passion for innovation in biomedical science and technology, you will thrive in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Salary: £35,500 - £41,000 per annum (pro rata)
