We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Virology department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will work alongside our team of experts in a fast-paced environment, handling over 900,000 microbiology and virology samples annually.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to gain experience in a large teaching hospital setting.

You will be working closely with our Research and Specialist Molecular department, where we are growing our sequencing capability using Sanger and MinION NGS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic microbiology services
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new tests and techniques
  • Participate in the training and development of junior staff members

The estimated salary for this role is £40,257 - £53,265 per annum, depending on experience.
