About the Role
Fugro GB Marine is seeking a Financial Project Controller to support the Business Controller of the Geotechnical service line. This pivotal role involves providing financial information and business insights to inform fact-based decision making, forecasting, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Project Controller, you will be responsible for analysing actual project, service, and business line performance, providing additional support at month and year-end to ensure the integrity of business line and service line reporting. You will also maintain a strong internal financial control environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience as a Management Accountant, ideally part-qualified with some project accounting experience.
- A BSc degree in a relevant discipline, such as Economics or Business Administration.
- Relevant project experience, affinity with financial topics, project risks, and excellent Excel skills.
- Experience of project management accounting, budgets, and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels (finance, business management, operations) and a command of the English language (written and spoken).
- A proactive and persistent approach to pursuing financial project information needed to control projects.
- A team player with accuracy and well-developed analytical skills.
