Job Title: Respiratory Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Specialist Nurse to join our COPD Inreach Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with chronic respiratory disease, including COPD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with COPD, including medication and inhaler technique reviews, self-management plans, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Work closely with the COPD Virtual Ward and community COPD Team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care and patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of specialist protocols and care pathways for people requiring a respiratory service.
  • Provide expert clinical education and support to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse.
  • Relevant clinical specialist knowledge in respiratory care acquired through degree-level training or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a community setting, including community hospitals and patient home visits.
  • Awareness of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme.
  • Current valid UK driving license and ability to travel within the post requirements.
