Educational Assistant for Mainstream School

LTF Recruitment is seeking an experienced educational assistant to join our team in a mainstream school in Rugby.
About the RoleThis role involves providing 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will implement strategies from the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress.
Responsibilities:- Provide individualised support to the pupil, promoting positive behaviour and academic achievement.
- Implement EHCP strategies and adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's unique needs.
- Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure the pupil's safety and engagement.
- Monitor progress and update support strategies as needed, in consultation with teachers and parents.
- Apply Manual Handling or Team Teach training to manage challenging behaviours.
- Proven experience working with children with ASD and behavioural challenges.
- Relevant qualifications and training in areas such as Manual Handling or Team Teach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.
