Job Overview
iMap Centre is seeking an experienced Principal to lead our team of educators in providing high-quality educational services for students with special needs. As a member of the Education Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for shaping the vision and direction of our school, ensuring the highest standards of education and care for our students.

About Us
iMap Centre is a small provider of educational services, registered for up to 20 pupils. We provide a nurturing environment where students can thrive, learn new skills, and make new friends. Our dedicated staff work closely with parents, carers, and funders to ensure every student reaches their optimum level of achievement.

Your Role
As Principal, you will be responsible for providing professional vision and leadership for the school, securing its success and improvement. You will oversee the internal organisation, management, and control of the school, ensuring that all aspects of school performance are monitored and evaluated in a robust, cyclical manner. You will also be responsible for leading, motivating, supporting, challenging, and developing staff at all levels to secure continuous improvement and staff well-being.

Purpose:
  • To provide professional vision and leadership for the school.
  • To record and report on progress of pupils.
  • To act as Designated Safeguard lead in the school.
  • To formulate and review School Development Plans.
  • To be a member of the Education SMT.

Curriculum
You will determine, organise, and implement a broad and balanced curriculum for the school, having regard to the needs, experiences, interests, aptitudes, and stage of development of the pupils and the resources available to school.

Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for a dynamic leader with experience in SEN education, who is passionate about delivering a challenging and exciting curriculum to all children. You should have an interest in and commitment to the development of SEN education, and be able to motivate a young person who hasn't engaged in learning for a significant amount of time. You must also be creative and adaptable, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including a £100 joining bonus after successful completion of 10 days, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.
