Job Description

The Operations Claims Specialist will play a vital role in managing a diverse caseload of claims involving our tank container and vehicle fleet, from inception to conclusion, in accordance with our Claims Handling Procedure.

Key Tasks
  • Manage claims efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Liaise with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to obtain necessary documentation and information.
  • Analyze data to inform decisions on liability, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of claims.
  • Effective debt recovery processes, both domestically and internationally.

  • Organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and third-party correspondence.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
  • Time management capabilities, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience within a claims handling role or shipping/transportation industry is highly advantageous.

Remuneration and Benefits
  • Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  • Private Health Cover.
  • Variety of Pension Scheme options.
  • 25 days holiday per annum plus statutory bank holidays.
  • Company Sick pay.
  • Core working hours are 9am to 5.30 pm.
  • Annual Pay Review.
  • Own transport is recommended due to location.
