Job Title: Learning Resource Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team at Lockerbie Academy as a Learning Resource Assistant. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, based around the school day, week, and term time.

About the Role

This vital role is based within our School Library, providing a smooth and efficient running of our Learning Resource Base and general clerical duties. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision, a pleasant manner, aptitude for PC work, and a good understanding of office procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of the School Library, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and staff.
  • Provide administrative support to the library team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
  • Develop and maintain a range of resources to support student learning, including books, online resources, and other materials.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement library programs and services.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the values of Lockerbie Academy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A good understanding of office procedures and a pleasant manner.Aptitude for PC work and ability to learn new software.Knowledge of financial record-keeping and procedures is desirable.Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.What We Offer
