Job Summary

The Department of Biology at Norfolk State University is seeking adjunct professors to teach various biology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching General Biology laboratory I and II, Microbiology for Health Science, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. A Master's or Ph.D. in Biology is required for all positions.

Responsibilities

  • Teach General Biology laboratory I and II to biology majors
  • Teach Microbiology for Health Science lecture and laboratory to pre-nursing and non-majors
  • Teach Human Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratories to health science majors

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Biology for all positions
  • Experience teaching anatomy and physiology laboratories for the Human Anatomy and Physiology position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to improving access to higher education for all students

Additional Considerations

The successful candidate will need to provide three Letters of Recommendation. Norfolk State University conducts background checks on all candidates identified as a finalist for employment consideration.
